Dr Alexandra Basoldea

I graduated in 2016 from the University of Cluj-Napoca, Romania where I started working in a Small animal Clinic which collaborated with a few animal associations and animal shelters. Provided guidance and treatment to the animals there from their first visit until they were adopted. Being able to be with them during their journey from a scared or ill cat/ dog into a happy and loved pet with their new family was an amazing experience. I hope I will be able to repeat it some day.

I started work at Hillman Vets in April  2019 and I am enjoying every minute of it. I have an interest in soft tissue surgery but I also enjoy the diversity and challenges of general practice.

I have many pets back home and also here. All of them are rescues, even my guinea pig Flakka - who acts more like a dog than a guinea pig and my hamster Gargamel who thinks is a skydiver.

I am a really social and curious person and I guess that is why I love travelling and my job so much.
