After leaving school, completed a 2 year Animal Management course at Rodbaston Collage, which is how I was introduced to the veterinary world through work experience. From this, I have stayed with the practice, gaining my Veterinary Care Assistant qualification in 2012. I enjoy all aspects of the general practice, but mainly the nursing side as I genuinely care for all our patients that come through our doors. At home, I have various pets including hamsters, budgies and fish. This year I became a fosterer for a local hedgehog rescue centre and take on orphaned hoglets that require hand rearing. Once they are weaned, they are returned for rehabilitation and release. Aside from caring for these, I enjoy reading, cooking/ baking, being in the countryside and socialising with friends.
